Art Central Receives New Partnership Funding
Art Central is a regional partnership between Arts NSW, Gosford City Council, Wyong Shire Council, and Regional Development Australia Central Coast to develop the arts across the region.
Arts NSW has committed $90,000 to Art Central over three years from 2014, with the other partners also contributing $150,000, to support creative industry development projects on the Central Coast.
Gosford City Council managed the first round of funding in 2014 under the Art Central partnership. Central Coast design studio, Treehouse Creative, has been awarded $38,250 from Art Central to create CENTRAL LINE, a collaborative online platform to develop work by artists on the Central Coast that will celebrate the region’s sense of place and identity.
CENTRAL LINE will bring together the region’s visual artists, musicians, storytellers, photographers, poets and performers to work together in an online space.
A second, open round of Art Central funding for creative industry development projects on the Central Coast will be managed by Wyong Shire Council later this year.
Arts NSW funded the Art Central partnership in 2012 and 2013 to support digital and local arts residencies and mentorships for young and emerging artists in the region. To read more, click here.
